Awaken

Certain creatures can be Awakened in the Laboratory. Awakening does three things.

  1. Awakening provides a stat boost
  2. Awakening unlocks the other 2 augment card slots
  3. Awakening gives the creature a unique passive skill

You need 5 shards to awaken a creature (and 10K coins for a cool creature, 20K coins for a rare creature, or 30K coins for an algebraic creature). You can get shards in two ways.

  1. Get shards as loot from Adventures
  2. Turn creatures into shards in the Laboratory (use the box on the right)

Note: Cool creatures give 1 shard, rare creatures give you 2 shards, algebraic creatures give you three shards when you convert them into shards.

Once the creature is awakened, the passive skill can be leveled up by adding shards. You get a bonus shard if you level up in batches of 5. It is highly recommended that you level up awakened rare and algebraic creatures in batches of 5 because those shards are much harder to obtain.

If you use the creature and can awaken it, awaken it. If you don't use the creature, sell the shards for 1000 coins a piece. You might consider keeping 5 shards for creatures that you don't have just in case you ever get that creature... but that takes up inventory space so that's up to you.

Cool Dog - Ultra Dog Edit

  • Passive Skill Level 1: When this creature is deployed, grant 1 energy.
  • Passive Skill Level 2: No change. Same as level 1.
  • Passive Skill Level 3: When this creature is deployed, grant 2 energy.
  • Shards per level: 250

Earl - Jarl Edit

  • Passive Skill Level 1: When this creature’s HP goes below 10%, grant 76% Attack Up.
  • Passive Skill Level 31: When this creature’s HP goes below 40%, grant 125% Attack Up.
  • Shards per level: 10

Elf Chief - Elf Assassin Edit

  • Passive Skill Level 1: While this creature is on the board, grant Shield x1 to any friendly deployed

Plains or Corn creature.

  • Passive Skill Level 2: While this creature is on the board, grant Shield x2 to any friendly deployed
